Hemangioma

The cause of hemangiomas is unknown, but they are fairly common. They are typically characterized by raised or discolored tissue, and are almost always benign, posing no medical risk. However, hemangiomas may be damaging to confidence or social interactions, depending on the location and severity. They can be treated with laser correction to return the skin to an even texture and tone.

Hemangiomas can occur on any part of the body, and typically form early in life. Often, waiting for the hemangioma to go away on its own is not an option, as there is no assurance that will ever occur. They may be treated at any point so as to reduce impact on patient appearance.

Our cutting-edge laser technology can treat most hemangiomas without surgery. Some discolorations can be resolved in a single treatment, while others may require multiple treatments over a period of weeks.

The duration of treatment depends on the density of pigmentation of the hemangioma. Cost of treatment will vary with the size and severity of the hemangioma, but our advanced laser technology keeps the price down, sometimes as little as $120 per treatment.

Occasionally, hemangiomas are raised to the point of needing surgical removal. We can remove the hemangioma, and treat any resulting scar with our fractional laser, so there is no evidence of the hemangioma or scar after treatment. This is the ideal way to perform the removal, as scar treatment is easiest when done immediately after surgery.

Consultations are always free, so stop by and let us help you restore confidence in your appearance. You’ll be amazed how quickly we can have your skin returned to its natural tone.
